Airbnb Says No to Cameras Inside

Airbnb, a company where people can rent homes for holidays, is making a big change. They are saying no to cameras inside the homes people rent.

Starting next month, Airbnb is making new rules. They say no cameras will be allowed inside rental homes. This is to make sure guests have privacy.

Many people who use Airbnb have said they worry about cameras inside homes.

They don't want to feel like they are being watched.

Juniper Downs, who works at Airbnb, says they talked to guests, hosts, and privacy experts before making this decision. They want to make sure everyone feels safe and comfortable.

Most homes on Airbnb don't have cameras, so this change won't affect many places. Before, people could put cameras in living rooms or hallways, but now they can't. Cameras pointing inside from outside are also not allowed.

But some cameras are still okay. Doorbell cameras and noise monitors are still allowed in shared areas, like living rooms. But hosts must tell guests if they have these devices.

Airbnb says they want to make sure hosts can keep their homes safe without invading guests' privacy. They want everyone to feel happy and relaxed when they stay in an Airbnb home.

This change comes after a funny TV show joked about cameras in toilets. It reminded Airbnb that privacy is very important to people.
